This season saw the first cria of our new stud male Pitchingga Ridge Reign Maker: solid blue-black, lustrous, soft fleece and neat conformation bodes well for our next generation of black alpacas. Reign Maker is the son of a Peruvian sire and seems to be passing on great genetics to his offspring.

ALPACA FARM INFORMATION DAYS
As from July, on the first Saturday of each month, from 11 am until3 pm, blackalpacas.biz will welcome visitors to our stud for a look at the animals, a brief introduction to owning alpacas, and to watch (and perhaps try) some 'hands-on' husbandry such as vaccinations, halter training, mating and the like. The activities will vary throughout the year, depending upon what needs to be done.
